Entering a course is as easy as clicking a course link on your myWebCT screen (see the previous page to learn more about the myWebCT screen).
Once you've entered a course, the first page you will see is called the homepage, and buttons or links on the homepage will provide access to the various components of the course. Below is an image of the homepage for a course called "The Adolescent and Society."
Be aware that each WebCT course homepage may have a different design and colour scheme, but will always contain a menu bar at the top of the page, the course title below the menu bar, and breadcrumbs below the course title.
Below the breadcrumbs, each homepage will include some or all of the following elements:
- a banner with the course code and/or title on it
- a homepage message (sometimes called a welcome message)
- some course specific information
- the instructor's name
- the instructor's contact information
- buttons or links to the content and e-tools for the course
The breadcrumbs are explained on the following page.
